Physiotherapy

The physiotherapy department at the Joint and Spine solutions works in close collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons under the same roof. Physiotherapists at the centre work in partnership with individuals of all ages to break down the barriers to physical function whether that means working with patients pre and post surgery, helping people come back from illness and chronic disease, injury, industrial and motor vehicle accidents and age related conditions. They also play an important role in health promotion and disease prevention.

Benefits of physiotherapy

  • Decreasing pain
  • Improving joint mobility,
  • Increasing strength and coordination
  • Improved cardio-respiratory function.

Physiotherapy increases your independence in your home, workplace or your favorite leisure activity. Physiotherapy offers a range of specialized services of benefit to patients with heart and lung disease, traumatic, workplace and athletic injuries, amputations, arthritic joints, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord and nerve injury, cancer and pre- and postsurgical needs.

The roles of the physiotherapist at our clinic are twofold. The first is the assessment of his disability and its prognosis, and the second is application of intensive physiotherapy to gain the optimal result.

We believe physiotherapy and rehabilitative services are an integral part of management of any ailment. It is with this belief that we run our physiotherapy department at the centre.
